In 2008, an e-mail was sent out to millions of computers insinuating that Obama was indeed the antichrist. The e-mail claims that the antichrist will be a middle aged man in his early forties who will be of Muslim origin and he would hold sway over millions with his words. He would also be regarded as a savior, he will fool the world with false promises and once he is in a position of power, he would destroy the world. The e-mail which until this point had not named any single person, ends it directly asking if it was indeed true that Obama is the antichrist.

While reading the e-mail, one gets the feeling that Obama is indeed the antichrist, if one goes by the interpretation of the bible by the e-mail. When one actually goes through the book of revelations, nowhere is the antichrist mentioned by age. Nor there is any mention of his religion. All these are all wishful interpretations which are aimed at pronouncing Obama as the antichrist.

It is easy to assume that the Obama is the antichrist. In fact, the bible mentions that the antichrist will rule the world. Now, Obama is the president of the United State of America, arguably the greatest super power in the world, which exercises great influence over the rest of the world. So, in effect, it makes Obama, the most powerful person on earth. In fact, almost every president of the united states has been named as the antichrist, so it would not be surprising if there was a strong case for Obama to be named as the antichrist, especially in the light of his attempts to broker a peace treaty between the Arabs and isreal, which is supposed to be one of the roles of the antichrist.

There is also supposedly new evidence that claims how Obama is indeed the antichrist. This evidence originates from Kenya. There are claims of a prophecy by Johanwa Owalo who founded the church of Nomiya Luo over a hundered years ago. The prophecy claims that the destruction of the United States will come about by a person of origin of the Luo tribe. It is a fact that Obama’s father is not only a Kenyan, but also belonged to the Luo tribe. What is interesting is that this so called evidence came to the fore only when Obama became president. Otherwise, nobody had heard of this prophecy for so many years.

A detailed reading of the book of Daniel automatically eliminates every single president of the United States from being the antichritst. But as long as there are gullible people, people will continue to believe that Obama is the antichrist. To put it into perspective, not long ago, even George W Bush was regarded as the antichrist.
